Malta, 12 ottobre 2025 – Il Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem O.S.J. – Knights of Malta terrà il Capitolo di Investitura 2025 nei giorni 14, 15 e 16 novembre nell’isola dei Cavalieri di Malta nella Capitale La Valletta
L’evento rappresenta uno dei momenti più solenni della vita cavalleresca dell’O.S.J., riaffermando la continuità di una tradizione che, da secoli, custodisce valori di fede, servizio e fraternità.
La cerimonia di investitura dei nuovi Cavalieri e Dame sarà officiata da S.A.S. il Principe Gran Maestro Don Basilio Calì di San Lorenzo, affiancato da S.E. il Balì Gr. Coll. Victor Galea, Governatore delle Isole Maltesi, da S.E. il Balì Gr. Coll. Dott. Aldo Morgillo, Ministro delle Finanze, da S.E. il Balì Gr. Coll. Dott. Antonio Pepe, Ministro degli Interni, e da S.E. il Balì Gr. Coll. Dott. Mitko Solakov, Governatore dei Balcani. Tra gli ospiti annunciati, S.A.R. il Sire Don Ruben Alberto Gavaldà, Gran Maresciallo, Gran Balì e Protettore dell’Ordine, insieme a rappresentanti delle istituzioni civili e religiose.
L’Ordine O.S.J Malta. trae le proprie origini dai Cavalieri Ospitalieri di San Giovanni in Gerusalemme, risalenti all’XI secolo, la cui missione era la cura dei pellegrini e dei malati. La presenza organizzata dell’Ordine a Malta si consolidò nel XX secolo con la fondazione della Commenda di Malta nel 1963, successivamente elevata a Prioria nel 1964.Oggi l’Ordine si configura come istituzione cavalleresca ed ecumenica, dedita alla difesa della dignità umana, all’assistenza dei bisognosi e alla promozione dei principi cristiani, nel solco del proprio motto storico: Pro Fide, pro utilitate Hominum – “Per la Fede, per l’utilità degli uomini”.
Il Capitolo 2025 prevede momenti di incontro, riflessione e celebrazione che culmineranno nella solenne cerimonia di investitura e nel ricevimento conclusivo presso la Sede Magistrale. La convocazione a Malta rinnova lo spirito di unità dell’Ordine, rafforzando il legame tra i Cavalieri e le Dame provenienti da diverse nazioni.
Le adesioni dovranno essere formalizzate entro il 30 ottobre 2025 attraverso i canali ufficiali dell’Ordine. I dettagli organizzativi e le comunicazioni di protocollo saranno trasmessi direttamente ai membri e ai dignitari coinvolti.

Investiture Chapter of the O.S.J. Malta – November 14–16, 2025
Malta, October 12, 2025 – The Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem O.S.J. – Knights of Malta will hold its 2025 Investiture Chapter on November 14, 15, and 16 on the Island of the Knights of Malta, in the capital city of Valletta.
The event represents one of the most solemn moments in the chivalric life of the O.S.J., reaffirming the continuity of a centuries-old tradition that preserves the values of faith, service, and fraternity.
The Investiture Ceremony for new Knights and Dames will be officiated by H.S.H. Prince Grand Master Don Basilio Calì di San Lorenzo, assisted by H.E. Bailiff Grand Collar Victor Galea, Governor of the Maltese Islands; H.E. Bailiff Grand Collar Dr. Aldo Morgillo, Minister of Finance; H.E. Bailiff Grand Collar Dr. Antonio Pepe, Minister of the Interior; and H.E. Bailiff Grand Collar Dr. Mitko Solakov, Governor of the Balkans.
Among the distinguished guests announced are H.R.H. Sir Don Ruben Alberto Gavaldà, Grand Marshal, Grand Bailiff and Protector of the Order, together with representatives of civil and religious institutions.
The O.S.J. Malta traces its origins to the Knights Hospitaller of Saint John in Jerusalem, dating back to the 11th century, whose mission was the care of pilgrims and the sick. The organized presence of the Order in Malta was consolidated in the 20th century with the foundation of the Commandery of Malta in 1963, later elevated to a Priory in 1964.
Today, the Order stands as a chivalric and ecumenical institution, devoted to the defense of human dignity, the assistance of those in need, and the promotion of Christian principles, in the spirit of its historic motto: Pro Fide, pro utilitate Hominum – “For the Faith, for the service of mankind.”
The 2025 Chapter will include moments of fellowship, reflection, and celebration, culminating in the solemn Investiture Ceremony and the final reception at the Magistral Seat. The convocation in Malta renews the spirit of unity within the Order, strengthening the bond among Knights and Dames from different nations.
